Yuko Crown Executive Editor / Yuko Crown

I bring many special experiences to the position of Executive Editor. Being native Japanese with an education from both Japan and U.S. has given me a unique understanding of the Japanese community in the U.S.

In addition to being a writer, publisher, and co-founder to several multi-national businesses, I have acquired a good sense of what the community interest and needs are, along with a vision for the future. It is my sincere wish to provide the Japanese community with the best source for community networking and information.

Alex Director / Alex

I have been active in the Japanese community for many years as an educator and consultant in Japan. Support of the Japanese community has always been one of my prime objectives along with advocating Japanese business internationally.

I am proud to be a prime sponsor of Japanese-in-Arizona.com and honored to be asked to serve as director. I see many great accomplishments ahead by Japanese-in-Arizona.com in behalf of the Japanese community.

It is said, with many hands success will prevail. With that thought, I welcome the participation of community members in assuring a successful future for all.

Lucy Journalist / Lucy

I was born in Chihuahua, Mexico and I came to live in Phoenix at a young age. I've been in Arizona since 1996 and love its people, its places, and its warm climate. I've always been interested in technology, particularly robotics, cybernetic studies, and Artificial intelligence. I remember watching Japanese shows back in Mexico on public television when I was little. One of the many titles I saw was “Mazinger Z,” and its premise on giant robots captivated my imagination forever. It wasn't long after that I found out the shows were Japanese, and that Japan is the leader in robotics and cybernetic research. Since then, I've been trying to learn as much as I can about Japan. I’ve fallen in love with its people, its culture in its many flavors, and its beautiful and unique flora and fauna.

I'm currently studying Computer Systems Engineering in Arizona. My dream is to go to Japan one day to continue studying and working on robotics. I’m currently studying the Japanese Language because I would like to learn Japanese before I go to Japan someday, so that I can communicate with my Japanese colleagues and its great people. I know that the Japanese language is complicated, that learning it is a challenge, and that I will probably never be able to fully master it, but it’s such a beautiful language that I want to study hard and try my best to speak and understand it the best I can.

My husband is a Martial Artist who is very interested in Karate, Aikido, and Judo, and we would like to retire one day in Japan, so we are studying the Japanese Language together. I’m very honored and delighted to be part of this Japanese Community, and will do my best to bring you the best reports in Arizona.

I was born in Mexico City and came to Arizona when I was 12 years old. I like Arizona, because of the climate, and it’s unique ecosystem. I am currently working in the Insurance industry (Regulatory Compliance), and I enjoy working with the state regulators and agencies. I was introduced to the Japanese culture during my college years by one of my martial arts instructors. I have since strived to show appreciation to the Japanese communities for their opportunity to allow me to be part of their beautiful culture.

My wife and I are currently learning Japanese and we would like to go and live in Japan in our latter years when we retire.

We appreciate the opportunity to be part of this on-line community. We would like to give back to the Japanese community a little of the much we have been given by providing you with resources and helping information from beautiful Arizona.

Mikiko Translator / Mikiko

Hello! I’m Mikiko, I’m working as an translation intern. Currently I live in Seattle. Last summer I was a Japanese tour guide at Safeco Field, the home of Seattle Mariners baseball team. At the stadium I met a Japanese couple who came from Arizona, and I heard many sweet stories about Arizona. From that moment I was so curious about Arizona that Arizona is one of the places I want to visit now. Let’s warm up the wonderful Japanese culture from this website together!

Miho Translator & Writer / Miho

I was born and bred in Japan. I am glad to be here as a translator and writer intern. I spent 2 years in the States teaching Japanese to kids and now I am teaching English to kids in Japan. Kids are so innocent and being around them brings me energy everyday. I love both countries, Japan and America, so hope I can be some help to introduce great points of them.
